An inland river cleaning staff was clearing the river next to an ancient house in Jin'an River Park, Fuzhou on March 6. Fuzhou Jin'an River Park renovated ancient houses on both sides of the river, and the construction of a number of ancient buildings in Fujian style is also under way.

As a National Famous Historical and Cultural City, Fuzhou has numerous ancient houses and historical and cultural buildings. In order to prepare for the 44th session of the World Heritage Committee to be held in Fuzhou, the city launched a new round of protection and promotion of ancient houses based on their characteristics. Among the 211 ancient houses protection and promotion projects in 91 categories, 122 projects have been completed.

Fuzhou has continued to promote the protection and activation of ancient houses, and successively launched several historical and cultural blocks such as the Three Lanes and Seven Alleys, Shangxiahang and Aofengfang in areas where ancient houses are concentrated in recent years. This has realized the integration of the protection of ancient houses and the improvement of people's livelihood and urban and rural construction, and the quality of the city has been greatly improved.
